Mad Men Yourself
It is no secret that Mad Men may be my new Lost. I love it and I loved Season Four's first episode! I am very excited about the new season.
Side Note: I hate when bloggers pretend like they don't watch tv. Like if they post about television shows their readers will be disappointed in them. I think that is so dumb. I love television and I don't care if that sounds trashy.
So it doesn't matter whether or not you love Mad Men as much as me, Mad Men Yourself. It is quite fun. This is me.Labels, Notepads and a Calendar, oh my!
I love freebies, so I decided to share a few of my favorite free downloads from the blogosphere.

My Tomato Pie
Sunday night I made a tomato pie using Paula Deen's Tomato Pie Recipe except I substituted cream cheese for mayonnaise. I hate mayonnaise. My tomato pie was ugly and sweeter than I thought it should be but overall it tasted pretty good. I knew I could make it better and my 2nd attempt was so delicious! I changed the crust and omitted the basil leaves. Ben and I enjoyed it very much!
Homemade Salsa
Filed under: Gardening, In the Kitchen..., Lesson Learned, Our Garden
Because of my recent tomato explosion, I feel the need to cook, bake or do something with all of the tomatoes I have on my kitchen table. So Ben and I made salsa and also a tomato pie for True Blood Sunday. I wasn't really happy with my tomato pie but I tried it again last night and will post about it tomorrow. I have been waiting to make my own salsa from my own tomatoes and bell peppers since we planted our...
Italian Cotton Ribbon
It is no secret that I love pretty packaging materials. I would love to add this lovely Italian ribbon to my present wrapping stash.
Tomato Explosion
Our garden is currently in the middle of a tomato explosion. We have yellow tomatoes (Lemon Boy), red tomatoes in about every size (Campari, Grape, Better Boy and Early Girl to be exact) and heirloom tomatoes (Cherokee Purple and Brandy Wine). We also have an eggplant and four bell peppers. I love having a...
Zoe can’t help but be cute!
Sometimes when my world is spinning, Zoe's cute face makes me stop and smile.
The Hold Steady @ the Hi Tone
Sunday night my husband and I went to see The Hold Steady at the Hi Tone in Memphis with some friends. The Hold Steady is one of our favorite bands and one of the best bands I have ever seen live. They were so awesome that I ignored how insanely hot it was in the Hi Tone. The keyboard player gave me his set list which only made my night better. Craig Finn, Steve...
Vintage Postcards
Last Thursday, I took off an hour early because I had a hair appointment. Then I went to Boardtown Trading Post afterward to browse their vintage books, but when I arrived they were about to close. My daydream of having a new haircut/vintage shopping combo was crushed. But the owner told me I could look around while she closed everything down. So I immediately went to look for some lovely postcards since I had no idea where the books were and didn't want to seem difficult. I am glad that I did. I really love vintage postcards. I especially love when...
Mad Men Monday
Today I was in a car for 5 1/2 hours. Part of the 5 1/2 hours included rain and a car hydroplaning out of control on a bridge in front of us. When I got home, I discovered that our cable provider's recent channel lineup change resulted in the addition of AMC and specifically Mad Men. Tonight AMC is showing a Viewer's Choice Marathon of Season One episodes. Next Monday, July 12th is the Viewer's Choice Marathon of Season Two. Monday July 19th is the Season Three Viewer's Choice Marathon...
