Liam was diagnosed with
Plagiocephaly about a month or so ago, although we knew his head was misshapen way before that. At first, the doctors blamed it on his vacuum extraction. Then they told us to switch the side of the crib he sleeps on. This helped but didn't solve the problem. About 2 months ago, Liam's physical therapist told us that she felt like Liam needed a helmet and that we would need a referral from his neurologist. We saw his neurologist and talked to him about...

I wanted to have Liam naturally. I took the childbirth classes at the hospital, read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth and even watched The Business of Being Born like 3 times. I really thought I could do it. Since I was having high blood pressure issues, my doctor decided to induce me a week early using Pitocin. At 39 weeks I was huge and miserable and just agreed with him. As soon as my Pitocin fueled contractions started I knew that my doctor clearly hated me (not really). And...

1. I really like looking at homes in my neighborhood online, once they are listed for sale. I do it all of the time.
2. I would be a stay at home mom, like this minute if I could afford it. I cherish my weekends at home with Liam and Ben. I love Liam so much and miss him terribly while I'm at work. Being a working mom is one of the hardest things I have ever done.
3. I seriously wish that my close friends and I could start a...

Liam is such a wonderful baby. We love him so much and it doesn't hurt that he is so cute! In just 3 months he has grown so much. He weighs over 12lbs and is 23 inches long. Liam smiles and laughs and is working so hard to hold his head up on his own and roll over. He sleeps between 6-8 hours a night! He is such a happy baby and we are smitten.

But part of me knew I might me mad at myself for not documenting this special time in our lives. So a couple of weeks ago my friends Katie Kester and Nikki Ballard took our pregnancy photos and I'm so glad that they did.
Here are a couple of my favorites:

So lately I have gotten a lot of good news. I haven't had any more blood pressure issues and my doctor thinks I only have about a week or so until Liam is born. I am 60% effaced and 1 cm dilated. Also my doctor thinks that once my labor starts, it will go fast. I couldn't be more excited. Now I am just waiting.
I still need to put some final touches on the nursery, make my playlist for the hospital and finish packing my hospital bag,...

Two weeks ago, I had to go to the doctor's office because my blood pressure was higher than it should be and my ankles were really swollen. Since both of these are symptoms of
pre-eclampsia, my doctor wanted to check and see if my urine contained protein (another sign of pre-eclampsia) which it did not, thank GOD! Last Wednesday, I had a follow up appointment and once again my blood pressure was higher than it should be. My doctor calmly told me that he wanted me to go...

Day 29: Something You are Listening to
This is the record player I bought for Ben last Christmas and I love it. Lately I've been listening to The Shins a lot.
