Food Poisoning and Ben

I have what I assume is food poisoning.  It started last night with me just feeling light headed and nauseated.  I thought maybe my blood pressure was high, so Ben and I took my blood pressure and it wasn’t.  I thought maybe I just needed sleep so I went to bed early.  At about midnight, I woke up covered in sweat and in so much pain.  It was horrible.  All night I kept waking up and running to the bathroom.  Needless to say I had to call in sick to work today.   I hate being sick and I hate calling into work.  I always feel guilty about it even though I know that we have sick days for a reason.

My reason for telling this uplifting story is to say that I love being married and I love my husband.  He was so wonderful to me during this whole ordeal. Ben sat beside the bathroom, he got me a wet washcloth for my forehead, made me soup twice, he laid beside me without touching me (since I was in pain), he bought me Gatorade, and brought me the heating pad.  I love Ben a whole lot.

    6. I had food poisoning in January – what you described is exactly what happened to me (24 hour period). Apparently, it’s usually something you ate in the last 24 – 48 hours.

    Did you eat out during that time? Anything that had to be cooked? I’m pretty sure mine was from this place: http://www.city-data.com/ny-restaurants/EAT-ON-EIGHT.html

    notice how many violations they have !!!!! ah!

    7. I didn’t eat out that day or the day before and Ben and I ate the same things. He didn’t get sick, so I have no idea what made me sick. But it sucked a lot. Thanks for the information.

    8. you might have actually had a virus. that is exactly what my first virus was like. and joe never got sick either. he said it was because he is so hardy.
