Lake Charles Mini-Vaca
This past weekend, Ben and I went to Lake Charles to visit Kirby, Dawn, Danielle and Kyle. It was a fun weekend filled with strawberry beer, better thrift stores, 2 sweet dogs, a super hero poet (really a poet who writes about super heros among other things), lakes a plenty, great food and friends who live too far away. When we got home, I was overjoyed to find these flowers waiting on me. I love that the previous owners of our house planted these bulbs. Honestly I need to plant some more. They put me in...
I heart my new Oxfords!
My new oxfords were waiting for me on my porch swing yesterday when I came home for lunch. Nothing beats coming home to realize you have a package! Especially when you were not expecting it until the next day. I have only had them for a day, but I really heart them. Plus I found them on sale

Before & After: Jewelry Organizer
Last night I decided to make a jewelry organizer for my bathroom, since I have a habit of getting knots in my necklaces and misplacing my pretty pins. I found this old picture frame in my craft room. It was missing the glass and I have been holding on to it for just such an occasion.
First, I wrapped a piece of cardboard in pretty tissue paper. Next I added ribbon and Chantilly lace and secured everything on the back with duct tape.I was in The Reflector!
This past Friday, The Reflector (Mississippi State's student newspaper) did an article on me and my blog! I am so excited and honored that they chose to write about me! Read the article here. And to make matters even better, they also wrote an article about my husband's band, Poacher which was in the same issue. Friday was a good day all around. Read the article about Poacher
