Vintage BBQ Tablecloth Purchase
Last weekend, my friend Nikki mentioned to me that she was planning a vintage BBQ. I got really excited and volunteered to help with favors and decor. When she left my house that night, I poured myself a glass of red wine and started cruising Ebay looking for vintage BBQ inspiration. It wasn't until I saw the package on my doorstep today, that I remembered my late night purchase of a vintage BBQ tablecloth. At least the tablecloth is pretty funny. Here are a couple of pics I snapped of it on my lunch break:
Before & After: Ugly Chair Cushions Recovered
Until we get a new kitchen table and chairs, we have to make do with our current ones which were given to us by our former roommates. I am glad these ugly chair cushions can be re-covered quickly and easily. Notice the gross paint drops from who knows what.
All you need is a screwdriver, a staple gun, fabric and something to help you remove the staples, like a flat head screwdriver. This is the fabric I chose. I bought it at a thrift store and at first...5 Photos Friday

We have tiny little potatoes!
Earlier this week, Ben and I decided to see how our potatoes are doing since a couple of them are blooming now. We sifted through the soil very gently and found tiny little potatoes. Ben wouldn't let me pick them because they were so small. This is our first year to grow potatoes and I think it is so exciting. Hopefully they will be big enough to pick...

My Little Jewelry Box
I found an my little vintage jewelry box at a thrift store. It plays "we've only just begun" by the Carpenters. I love the Carpenters. I think jewelry boxes that play music are so neat. Ben said that he thinks the instrument on the top of my jewelry box is a lute, he is probably right.
My jewelry box is filled with a combination of my grandmother's costume jewelry, thrift store finds and some newer earrings etc. I am pretty into it.
Baby Shower DIY Onesie Station
This past weekend, my friend Nikki co-hosted a baby shower that I attended. One of the activities, was a DIY Onesie station. The station had fabric markers, embroidery thread, needles, iron-ons and fun buttons. I love this idea so much and it was really fun. Here is the onesie I made for my friend Christy's baby. Here are some of the other onesies the shower guests made for Christy. I love the punk rock...

Our Backyard Garden
This past weekend, Ben and I finished planting our garden. We started the day at Lowe's buying vegetable plants to replace some of our seedlings that didn't make it. Recently we have had a lot of rainfall and flooding, so we tried to wait to plant the seedlings we started indoors a couple of months ago and it wasn't the best idea. Once we returned home, we brought the record player outside and finished planting our garden. This is our garden plan for this year:
I made these markers so that we...
