DIY Fabric Covered Bracelet Tutorial
Recently for my friend Dawn's birthday, I made her some fabric covered bracelets. They were so easy to make and are really pretty. Supplies Needed: Pretty fabric Aleene's Fabric Fusion Glue Pen (or any type of fabric glue) bracelets clothespin I started by taping my fabric to the bracelet just in case I wanted to change the fabric later. Next I wrapped the fabric pretty tightly around the bracelet and secured it with a little fabric glue.
Cindy May’s Homemade Salsa Recipe
Last week with the help of our neighbor Anna's larger food processor (Thanks Anna), Ben and I made some more homemade salsa. We had some tomatoes that we needed to used ASAP, so salsa it was. Making salsa is one of my favorite summertime activities now that we have our own garden. Salsa that is made from fresh veggies from your garden taste so much better than store bought salsa in my opinion. We used my mom's salsa recipe and let me just say that my mom knows what she...

Ben’s Watermelon Margaritas Recipe
Last week for True Blood Sunday, Ben and I decided to use 1/2 of a left over watermelon from our garden and 1/2 of a watermelon our friend gave us to make watermelon cocktails. My mother in law emailed me a couple of recipes that she cut out of magazines (probably Southern Living). Ben looked over the recipes and decided to put his own twist on them. I am so glad that he did because his watermelon margaritas are my new favorite cocktail.

Vintage Decor Inspiration
A couple of months ago Ben and I went to our local library's book sale, which is the first Monday of every month. We found a lot of cool books but my favorite by far is my Better Homes and Garden's Decorating Book 1968 Edition and it only cost .50! I love the furniture, the wall hangings, the use of bright colors and pretty much the way people decorated their homes in the 60s and 70s in general. So I decided to share some of my Decorating Book's vintage loveliness. I hope everyone enjoyed these photos as much as I...

We found a Tiny Kitten.
Last night while on my way to Old Venice, a tiny kitten ran in front of my car on Main Street. She looked too tiny to be by herself and I was worried she would get run over, not to mention it was 100 degrees outside. I tried for about 15 minutes to catch her but didn't have any luck, so I enlisted the help of my friend and neighbor Anna. We tried for another 15 minutes with no luck. We decided to go inside and eat...
