Oh baby! Week 11 of 40
Easy DIY Cat Toy
I recently made Olive a really simple cat toy and she loves it. Since it is her favorite toy ever, I decided to share a tutorial with you guys. I know cats will play with almost anything, but at least this toy looks cuter than a toilet paper roll or plastic water bottle which are Olive's 2nd and 3rd favorite toys. Supplies Needed: Two Metal Book Rings Fabric scraps of all sizes 2-3 foot long piece of ribbon or string
It’s such a pretty day, let’s run away.
Being pregnant has made me so exhausted and sleepy. It's hard to focus on anything when you are sleepy. I am daydreaming of leaving work and taking a nap in my...

Oh Baby! Week 10 of 40
This week hasn't been too bad. Tuesday morning my morning sickness hit me by surprise but I took a Zofran and was feeling better by lunch. This week my tiny baby is no longer called an embryo and is now a fetus. The word fetus is weird, I don't like it. Anyways, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get to hear a tiny heartbeat! Pregnancy Stats Weeks Pregnant: 9 weeks and 4 days Size of my tiny baby: A Prune (1.5 in. long) Weight: 119 lbs. Total Gain: 4...
Garden Update: What a cute little cantaloupe!
This year our garden hasn't been the best. I blame the heat really. But this past Friday Ben and I picked two cantaloupes from our garden, which just so happen to be the only two it produced. We were so thrilled that we immediately cut one of them open and ate it. It was the best cantaloupe I have ever had, no joke. There is something so gratifying about growing melons, probably because it takes so long for them to ripen.
Anyways, I hope everyone has...
Ham & Cheese Sliders
Last night I showed Ben this recipe for Ham & Cheese sliders that I had recently pinned on Pinterest. He agreed that they looked tasty and we decided to make them. Of course we changed it up a bit. You will need: Brown & Serve Dinner Rolls Ham- We used pre-sliced smoked ham Cheese- We used pepper jack 1/2 stick of butter 3 cloves of minced garlic 2 tablespoons of spicy mustard Worcestershire Sauce
We cut the rolls in half and placed mini squares of cheese and ham in each one. ...

Oh Baby! Week 9 of 40
This week has been good. I have been mostly morning sickness free and I feel so much better. Morning sickness can be kind of tricky so I'll tell you what worked and didn't work for me. What helped: Waking up about 15 minutes early and eating in bed really helps me and I still do this. Taking my time to eat and wake up is great. I usually eat oatmeal or homemade muffins. Canada Dry Ginger Ale- It doesn't have to be this brand but it does have to be made with real ginger.
The Morning Sickness Blues
I would like to apologize for the lack of posting here at FDZ lately. My morning sickness aka all day sickness has really gotten me down this past week. I've had entirely too many crackers and cans of ginger ale in my life lately, but what do you do? I have convinced myself that my little raspberry may very well hate me at this point. But on the positive side, I may be on my way to feeling a bit better because my doctor called me in some nausea pills yesterday. ...
