Before & After: Ugly Chair Cushions Recovered

Until we get a new kitchen table and chairs, we have to make do with our current ones which were given to us by our former roommates.  I am glad these ugly chair cushions can be re-covered quickly and easily.  Notice the gross paint drops from who knows what.

Before & After: Vintage Mirror

Before & After: Mail Organizer

I bought this charming little mail organizer at the Salvation Army with the hope of painting it and making it wonderful.  After the first coat of paint, I realized that there was nothing charming about this dumb mail sorter.  I underestimated its cheapness really.  Also I hate sanding, so I skipped that step which was my first mistake. Before & After: Jewelry Organizer

Last night I decided to make a jewelry organizer for my bathroom, since I have a habit of getting knots in my necklaces and misplacing my pretty pins.   I found this old picture frame in my craft room.  It was missing the glass and I have been holding on to it for just such an occasion.

First, I wrapped a piece of cardboard in pretty tissue paper.  Next I added ribbon and Chantilly lace and  secured everything on the back with duct tape.

Before & After: Thrift Store Shelf

When I saw this little shelf at the thrift store I got really excited.  I love fun thrift store furniture but I do not like faux wood pressed board or anything brown for the most part.  So I painted it Pistachio.  It took about 2 cans of spray paint because I maybe should have sanded it better but I am happy with the result.
