I love the furniture, the wall hangings, the use of bright colors and pretty much the way people decorated their homes in the 60s and 70s in general.

So I decided to share some of my Decorating Book’s vintage loveliness.

This buffet looks really cool, despite the hardwood.

These lucite chairs make me swoon.

The pretty shower curtain and yellow cabinets in this bathroom make me happy.

I love the couch, the hanging lamp and the cute square side table.

I love this little sewing closet and especially the fold out table.

I love pretty much everything about this cute living room.

Why don't people use color like this anymore?

I developed a love of  stamps while planning my wedding.  I was especially drawn to beautiful vintage love stamps.  I  love that the USPS (United States Postal Service) realizes that every year some lucky girl is planning her wedding and would love nothing more than to have a beautiful stamp to stick on the many wedding invitations she will be sending out.    This’s year’s love stamp is called the Garden of Love and they are oh so pretty.

The USPS started releasing Love inspired stamps in 1973.  Some are better than others.

My jewelry box is filled with a combination of my grandmother’s costume jewelry, thrift store finds and some newer earrings etc.  I am pretty into it.

Last Christmas, my husband surprised me with my bouquet of flowers brooch pin.  My tiny green flower hat pin came from The Salvation Army and we found the pretty red brooch pin at a church rummage sale this past weekend.  I fancy them a whole bunch.

WPA (Works Progress Administration) posters were commissioned as a part of President Roosevelt’s New Deal to promote public works projects such as community activities, educational programs, cultural programs, travel/tourism, public health and safety programs.  I think these posters are really cool and some are even pretty funny.  What is even cooler is that you can browse the Library of Congress WPA Poster Collection here.  Have fun!
