Link to Unfriend is the 2009 Word of the Year

While driving home after work and listening to NPR, I heard that Unfriend is the 2009 New Oxford American Dictionary Word of the Year. I admit that it makes me feel sane to deny a friend request when I have no idea who a person is or when I deny a friend request because I am not friends with that person but i am not sure that I have ever unfriended someone. It also makes me wonder if I have been unfriended at least in the social networking world. Shouldn't the Word of the Year be a positive word instead of...
