Before & After: Thrift Store Shelf
Filed under: Arts and Crafts, Before & After, DIY, Home Decor Ideas, Vintage Finds
When I saw this little shelf at the thrift store I got really excited. I love fun thrift store furniture but I do not like faux wood pressed board or anything brown for the most part. So I painted it Pistachio. It took about 2 cans of spray paint because I maybe should have sanded it better but I am happy with the result. A little paint really helps sometimes.
DIY Upcycled Notebooks
Recently I have been into making small notebooks. They are perfect for writing down quick lists or random ideas. I keep the one I made for myself in my purse at all times. Let me know what you think.
DIY Tags
My friend Chris has recently started brewing beer. Last night he asked me to make him some tags for the beer bottles. So last night while watching Lost, Nikki and I made these tags from scrapbook paper.
Indie Business Class Project: Inspiration Board

The purpose of this inspiration board is to basically organize your inspiration and choose a style that fits your business. Although the details of said business are not ironed out yet, I gave it a shot. The really cute Return Address/Post To labels are from the lovely blog Creature Comforts. The fun decorative tape...

DIY Valentines aka The Start of my Doily/Mod Podge Addiction
I know Valentine's Day has passed but I couldn't resist posting these cute Valentine's I made for friends. For this Valentine I used a Martha Stewart edge punch to create the lace look on the valentine. I made the envelope from this cute love paper that I downloaded from Paper Crave for free and the label is also a free download from Creature Comforts. I love free printables! I actually found both of these a while back and was...
Vintage Stamps
Filed under: Being Green, DIY, Things that make me happy, Wedding
I love the pretty vintage stamps we used on our wedding invitation envelopes so much. The envelopes we used for our wedding invitations were 100% recycled paper from Action Envelope. We used vintage stamps that I purchased on Ebay, for the invitations we sent to the wedding party, close friends and family. For all of the other guests, we used the new love stamps which were perfect. Since hiring a calligrapher didn't really fit into our budget and I had no intention of writing addresses on all of our invitations since my husband invited half of Starkville, we decided on using...
